  • I was disciplined with some hitting growing up and I always thought it was good for me, as a toddler it would be a slap on the hand if I drew on the wall or something like that, and I had spankings when I was a little older as well, it was never like an extreme pain type of discipline though, and at a certain age it stopped, 10 I think, as I now knew to respect my parents and didn't ever do anything that I needed to be that harshly disciplined for, I made some small mistakes, a few groundings as a teen, but that was about it. Anyways, I was never traumatized or terrified of my parents, I always knew this were just trying to do what's best. That being said, this is something completely different. This is a man physically hurting a child that is not his, and I don't think any child should be disciplined by getting their head yanked around. This is something that should not be happening. I was always a very crazy toddler, who would throw a lot of tantrums and never listen to my parents no matter how many times outs they gave and toys they took away. My parents weren't initially giving me physical punishments, but they tried it out with me, and it actually worked so they continued, I think physical punishments can be good for a child, but never too harsh punishments, and some kids legitimately can't handle the mental trauma of physical punishments as well.

  • The part I hated most about the coach's apology was that he apologized for doing what he did in public. Even if we assume that everything he said in his apology was true and genuine, he believes that his mistake was hitting the kid in front of other people and not that his mistake was hitting the kid. Absolutely awful, no sympathy for him.

  • The mere fact, that all the people reacted to the coach pushing the kid with a threat of violence just shows how hypocrite people and you can be. And you can't judge someone's apology, because it's completely subjective, so you shouldn't generalize a subjective point of view over someone's intention to make thing right.

  • It's sad to see how much people don't know that physical punishment doesn't actually help children at all and try to justify it with their own past of getting beat. Those people seriously need to read a children's development book or take a high school level psychology course because beating a child for a mistake most times traumatizes them and is ineffective in teaching them anything.

  • If there is a lot of cross platform interactivity between Facebook and X company represented by available data then it suggests to me that Instagram and FB are more a like than not. However it's my belief that there are people who solely use IG, FB, and Whatsapp, respectively. So I surmise, for the case of IG's independence, it's more unique a platform than WA and Messenger (smaller than FB). Furthermore, there shouldn't be a breakup of the entities because IG and FB share a lot, and not enough intellectual property (or, in other words, services or products solely generated by IG employees) is possessed by IG, nor is readily usable in high volume, to justify the separation at this point in time. I do believe IG may be relying on FB IP to do its day-to-day tasks. IDK, for sure. I'm not an employee of any of these companies and clearly just a rambling man. Here's a tangential thought: WA is such a cool tool for messaging people whom reside outside the country. It's not clunky like M, wanting to act as my texting app and my FB messaging serivce every time its booted up after installing. It's quick and to-the-point. There are even extra bonus features for extra people like me. Another tangential thought: I don't mind FB and M being separate apps. Apps in general are so 😎. Lastly, I think its best to let people create like "templates", or schemes for laying out the home screens with specific apps; one should be able to make unique "templates" based on preference of social media platform. However, I think too much sometimes so take all this as opinion and nothing more. 🙃
