With coffee, as well as smoothies and ice cream. Sometimes the machines will tell you cleaning has been finished but some solution is left in there. It's not poisonous in small doses and while it definitely shouldn't happen, it does. Anyway, defund the police.

  • My car was stolen while I was in Albuquerque on a military pcs a couple weeks ago. It took the police over two hours to get there on a Wednesday afternoon, and then when my stuff that was inside the car started showing up on marketplace the detectives did very little and recovered none of my stuff. When they found my car there was a woman in it and she had drugs and a key ring with a dozen other car keys on her but she wasn't even arrested. So if community policing has better outcomes than that then by all means go for it. Didn't seem like they were interested in helping me anyway, and they blamed me for having the title in my car even though I was moving at the time so yeah.

Also I don't think its uncommon for restaurants to have to flush out machinery and some solution ends up in food (obviously it is a safety hazard and they need to be more careful), I've thrown out a slushy before when it smelled bleachy.

I understand people can swat, but that's not the core issue of police violence, and there has to be some blame on the police when they bring a swat team on no hard evidence.

Humans became sick. Although it may not have been intentional it certainly was negligent. Is it because it is a group we all are supposed to hate that we say it didn't happen? Would we respond the same way if the headline was "Multiple people become sick after going to XXXXX food chain. An investigation is under way.?"

Then they would have given them a refund and new free drinks and all would be well. But some cops get it and automatically assume it was an attack on cops?! HELLO! This is the problem with cops! They assume everyone is trying to attack them and immediately jump to suspicion! God forbid those employees reached into their pocket to grab a pen or something when they served those drinks or they may have been shot by a cop assuming they are grabbing a gun. Police need to get some “calm the fuck down” therapy training.

When the police arrived they had a social worker with them to do a safety check on my kids. This was over 20 years ago. I don't see why that same concept can't be implemented for mental health, homelessness, etc. calls.

If it was just the cop's shakes that had the cleaner in it then that's EXTREMELY suspicious but if other people were getting sick then I think there's a decent chance it was just an accident.

  • There’s nothing wrong with following the NHS model. In the UK they send police only to violent crimes and things like car accidents where police officers are actually needed. They also have designated law enforcement departments who investigate and actively/progressively deal with corrupt officers. I grew up in a town where we had no city police department due to corruption. That town is now policed by county sheriffs and state officers. Defunding doesn’t mean no law enforcement which seems to be a common misconception. I, like many others, believe that officers should take a 4 year degree in criminal justice and psychology. #sorrynotsorry

No.. there is usually 2-3 employees responsible for cleaning an entire restaurant in 8 hours.. all while making orders at the same time..🤷 just saying, I've seen it happen.. to err is human..

Lots of deaths could have been prevented if cops didn't hotshot their jobs like an action movie. They want to use flash bangs then bust in and bark orders to a deafened disoriented suspect and expect immediate compliance. They aren't being trained in reality.

  • Funny how the cops are quick to blame staff for poisoning their drink (which easily could have been something spoiled that was put in it by accident) but when people are murdered Nation wide because of someone's skin color, they act like it's no big deal. Edit: I didn't wat, h the full clip before commenting, that's my bad, but accidentally ingesting cleaning substance mixed with something does not make you critically sick. A minor stomach ache. I myself have accidentally ingested cleaning liquid WITH my food and did not have a problem. Fair that his body may work and react differently, but making a false accusation is just too far. They're TRYING to make it seem like we're the bad guys.
